Enamels

The enamels are created by sifting powdered glass onto copper sheet and then firing, which fuses the glass to the copper. A mixture of opaque and transparent glass powders are used and each enamel picture uses from five to fifteen different colours, shades and types of glass.

The inspiration for the panels comes from a variety of sources. Some are made using leaves, seed heads etc. and others are familiar or popular scenes.
